Singaraja, July 2–3, 2025 – The Undergraduate Program in Physics Education at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), successfully completed a two-day accreditation Field Assessment (AL) facilitated by LAMDIK. The assessment took place at the FMIPA seminar hall and involved two national assessors: Prof. Dr. Eko Hariyono (State University of Surabaya/UNESA) and Prof. Dr. Yayat Ruhiat (Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University/UNTIRTA).
The event was officially opened by Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, who emphasized the university’s commitment to quality improvement and the integration of local values such as Tri Hita Karana into education. The program highlighted that these values have been incorporated into its curriculum and learning activities.
Throughout the assessment, the assessors reviewed key aspects including program vision alignment, internal quality assurance, financial management, academic excellence, and facilities. They encouraged the program to sharpen its vision through an Ethnophysics approach and to pursue internationalization opportunities by adopting bilingual instruction.
On the second day, the assessors conducted site visits to research and education laboratories. They praised the quality of the facilities, describing them as competitive even at the national level. The assessors also recommended optimizing the laboratories for applied research and the development of academic entrepreneurship.
The assessment concluded with the signing of the official report and the delivery of recommendations for improvement. With these outcomes, Undiksha’s Physics Education program is expected to maintain its excellent accreditation status and continue serving as a reference for education development that bridges local cultural values with global perspectives.
