Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) held a workshop on refining its quality assurance documents on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at the Ganesha 2 Hall, Rectorate Building. The initiative aims to align the university’s quality standards with the latest regulation: Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Regulation No. 53/2023 on Higher Education Quality Assurance.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, who expressed appreciation to faculty members serving as observers in recent field assessments—highlighting their commitment to continuously learn about accreditation. The Vice Rector also outlined the Rector’s plans to strengthen resources in quality assurance, with the Quality Assurance Center expected to serve as the front line in supporting accreditation across all programs at Undiksha.
In his remarks, the Vice Rector underscored the need to optimize the “Satu System” for data validation, develop the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) through an Online Internal Quality Audit (AMI) platform, and expand a monitoring system to track key academic indicators such as student GPAs, graduate numbers, on-time graduation rates, and other benchmarks. He also stressed the importance of implementing Regulation No. 53/2023, enforcing academic quality standards, and preparing selected programs for international accreditation.
During the main discussion, speakers emphasized that refining the quality assurance documents should not only comply with Regulation No. 53/2023 but also reflect the Ministry’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU), Undiksha’s current Strategic Plan (Renstra), and accreditation benchmarks. The process is expected to strengthen the university’s internal quality assurance framework while boosting its competitiveness nationally and internationally.
By organizing this workshop, Undiksha reaffirmed its strong commitment to advancing the quality of higher education, in line with its vision of becoming a leading university grounded in the Tri Hita Karana philosophy.
