Singaraja, June 30 – July 1, 2025 – The Undergraduate Guidance and Counseling Program at the Faculty of Education, Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha), underwent a two-day field assessment as part of its accreditation process by the Independent Accreditation Board for Education (LAMDIK). The evaluation was conducted by two national assessors: Prof. Dr. Mungin Eddy Wibowo from Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nur Wangid from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY).
The assessment opened with remarks from Undiksha’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, who reaffirmed the university’s commitment to continuous quality improvement through strategic initiatives, including strengthening digital infrastructure, internationalization, and faculty development programs aimed at achieving a “Zero Master’s Degree” target by 2030.
Over the course of the assessment, the team carried out data verification, classroom observations, facility inspections, and in-depth interviews with faculty leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, and employers. The assessors praised the program’s vision and mission, which align with the local wisdom of Tri Hita Karana, and acknowledged Undiksha’s efforts to advance its three core missions of education, research, and community service.
Key recommendations included accelerating faculty promotions, developing doctoral and professional counselor education programs, and improving student study efficiency. The assessors also emphasized the need to strengthen academic monitoring systems and increase student engagement in research and community outreach.
The assessment concluded with the signing of an official report and the presentation of recommendations. The process marks an important milestone for Undiksha’s Guidance and Counseling Program in its pursuit of excellence, relevance, and global competitiveness.
