Singaraja, July 19, 2025 – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) reaffirmed its commitment to educational quality through a Field Assessment (AL) for the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Software Engineering (TRPL) program, held on July 16–17, 2025. The assessment took place at the Balingkang Building and Building E of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational Studies (FTK), with two assessors from LAM INFOKOM in attendance: Prof. Iwan Syarif, Ph.D., and Dr. Ferry Fachrizal, M.Kom.
The event was officially opened by Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, alongside Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana. Both highlighted the importance of institutional transformation toward achieving “Excellent University” status, strengthening good governance, and improving both publication quality and graduate competencies.
The assessment continued with technical discussions between the assessors and the Accreditation Task Force, including the Quality Assurance Unit (PJM), Quality Control Groups (GKM), and the TRPL program team. Discussions focused on the internal quality assurance system, the PPEPP cycle (Plan–Do–Check–Evaluate–Improve), the implementation of Internal Quality Audits (AMI), and the strategic role of Management Review Meetings (RTM). The assessors also reviewed governance, institutional partnerships, graduate profiles, and industry involvement in supporting the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum.
Undiksha presented several strategic collaborations, including a “3+2” program with MUC University and international internship opportunities as part of its internationalization agenda. The TRPL Program Coordinator also explained that the program’s vision and mission were developed through workshops involving faculty, students, alumni, and employers, ensuring alignment with industry needs and global technological trends. The curriculum has incorporated advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, Cloud Computing, and DevOps.
On the second day, the assessment focused on document verification and performance indicators, including lecturer qualifications, facilities and infrastructure, and the availability of accessible learning materials such as course outlines (RPS). The assessors provided recommendations, including the need to add data on student achievements and patents already owned by the program.
The assessment concluded on an optimistic note. The strong commitment of Undiksha’s academic community, particularly within the TRPL program, to maintaining a culture of quality and responding to digital industry dynamics stands as a key strength in securing broader recognition both nationally and internationally.
